The Obuasi Municipal Assembly under the able leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Faustilove Appiah Kannin has commissioned four water projects at the cost of Five hundred and forty-thousand Ghana (Gh¢540,000). The communities that benefited from the projects are Memiriwa No. 1 and Antobuasi; the schools are Bedieso M/A Basic Schools and Awurade Basa Basic Schools.
This is the second time within the year 2026 the Assembly has commissioned such similar projects. These projects were awarded and started mid-year of 2025 and completed within the second quarter of the year 2026.
At the commissioning, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Faustilove Appiah Kannin said, “Water is Life” and therefore advised the beneficiary communities and the schools to take good care of the project to enable the facilities last longer.
Attendees were the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mad. Joyce Akosua Angmorteh (aka Action Woman), Staff of the Obuasi Municipal Assembly, Opinion leaders, Assembly members, Community members, Teachers and Pupils of the beneficiary schools.
