OMA organised sensitization programme on NACAP for its members

A one-day sensitization program on National Anti-Corruption Action Plan (NACAP) was organised by the Obuasi Municipal Assembly in collaboration with the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), Obuasi.  Heads of Departments, Assembly members and Revenue collectors of the Assembly were all attended.

Mr. Samuel Asante-Yeboah (Esq), the facilitator of the programme who is also Sub-Regional Director of CHRAJ, highlighted that, the purpose of the training program is to sensitize the participants on how to desist from corruption and corrupt related activities that is perceived to be occurring at the various public institutions.  Mr. Asante-Yeboah said, such corrupt occurrences impede the progress of the country, hence the need to come together and fight against such canker.

The perceived corruption such as Bribery, Gifts, Conflict of interest, Extortions, Under declare of proceeds by the public officers, Pay before service is rendered to, Sextortion, etc. were all discussed at the programme.

Participants were given the opportunity to share their views and asked questions.

The Municipal co-ordinating Director, Mr. Anthony Kwenin, Municipal Finance Officer, Alhaji Zakaria Yahaya, Municipal Internal Auditor, Mr. Francis Addae were all participated the program.
