Honourable Elijah Adansi-Bonah on Tuesday 7th February 2023 visited Apitikooko and Nhyiaeso communities all in the Binsere electoral area as part of his community tour.
Started in June last year, the community tour is intended to give the Municipal Chief Executive and other public officials in Obuasi first-hand information of happenings in communities in the Municipality.
Again, the Community engagement is to deepen decentralisation and encourage participation in local government.
Hon. Elijah Adansi-Bonah talked about inter- community violence creeping into Obuasi.
He also talked about plans by the Assembly to repair the bridge linking Apitikooko to Nhyiaeso.
The MCE again touched on electricity extension to some areas in the electoral area.
The Municipal Police Commander Chief Supt Elizabeth Viney was on hand to speak to issues concerning security.
There was opportunity for other public officials from Immigration, Environmental office, Physical planning and Fire service to also educate the people in the two communities.
The Community engagement will again continue on Tuesday, 14th February, 2023.
