The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Obuasi Municipal Assembly, Honourable Faustilove Appiah Kannin, has congratulated Miss Afia Henewah Annin, a student of the Obuasi Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Junior High School, for emerging second runner-up in the just-ended Otumfuo Community Reading Challenge.

A visibly elated Hon. Faustilove warmly embraced the young girl and showered her with praises when Miss Annin and her teachers paid a courtesy call on her at the office in Obuasi. The MCE commended both the student and the school for their remarkable effort and for bringing honour not only to the school but to the entire Obuasi Municipality.
Hon. Faustilove encouraged Afia to remain focused on her education, stressing that hard work and discipline are key to unlocking future opportunities. “As you have started well, continue with this performance, and I pray that the skies shall be your limit,” she advised.

The MCE presented a token of appreciation to Miss Annin and her school in recognition of their achievement. Receiving the gesture on behalf of the school, the young champion expressed gratitude to the MCE for her support and promised to work harder to reach greater heights.
