The Honourable Municipal Chief Executive of the Obuasi Municipal Assembly madam Faustilove Appiah Kenin has welcome pupils in the Municipality with some gifts as they begin their academic journey.
The annual nationwide exercise took the MCE and her entourage to three schools namely Sanso Methodist Primary and KG School, Anwona and Ntonsua Municipal Authority (MA) Schools. The MCE welcome the pupils to school with some candies, fruits drinks and some educational materials.
Interacting with the pupils, Honourable Faustilove told them not to play with their academics by ensuring that they participate and do all their exercise. She wished the pupils well and prayed that they aspire to become responsible citizens to contribute their quota to national development.
In all, the MCE and her entourage interacted with 167 pupils in the schools. The entourage was made up of some staff of the Municipal Directorate of Education led by its Director Mr Alfred George Koomson, and some staff of the Assembly. The Education Directorate entourage later visited some other schools to equally welcome them to school. In all it was all joy for both staff and pupils to have been visited by the MCE and her entourage.
