Obuasi has had its fair share of good roads after the government announced that 2020 was the “year of roads”.

He mentioned roads in communities like Kunka, Abompekrom, Kulem, Biakoyeden and Mamiriwa, Nkamprom as those earmarked to start in earnest.

On maintenance, Hon. Adansi-Bonah said the Assembly has put in place measures to safeguard the equipment and use it for their intended purpose.

” We have security detailed in place to protect the equipment but we need the support of the general public to collectively help us to protect the equipment and use them for their intended purpose “.

The equipment outdoored included grader, wheel loader, water bowser, tipper truck, backhoe, and roller. They are expected to play significant role in reshaping deplorable roads in the Municipality and also create more jobs for the youth according to the Member of Parliament for the Obuasi West constituency Hon. Kwaku Kwarteng.

He commended the President His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and the Vice President His Excellency Mahamadu Bawumia for the bold step in resolving the challenges with road networks in the country.

” This government has done so much in the area of road. The DRIP project is a great project that clearly demonstrates the government’s commitment in addressing the challenges we are facing as a country”, the Obuasi West Mp stated.

Kwabena Nsenkyire an Ashanti Regional DRIP coordinator emphasized the need for the people to vote massively for the New Patriotic Party based on the successes it has chalked since it came to government.

He said renewing the mandate of the NPP Government is the only way the people of Obuasi can appreciate the good works of the government.

The Member of Parliament for Odotobiri constituency who is also a Regional Coordinator for DRIP said adequate measures have been put in place to ensure that the equipment’s are used for their intended purpose.
