New Bekwai District Forestry Manager pays courtesy call on Obuasi MCE

Ernest Adofo, the new District Manager of Bekwai Forestry Commission on Wednesday, 23rd August, 2023 led a team from the commission to pay a courtesy call on the Chief Executive of the Obuasi Municipal Assembly Hon Elijah Adansi-Bonah in his office.

The visit according to Mr. Adofo was to officially introduce himself to the Mce as the new manager of the Bekwai Forestry Commission which has supervisory authority over the Obuasi office.

He thanked the MCE for the warm reception adding that the commission deems the Assembly as a key partner. He promised to cooperate effectively with the Municipal Assembly for the benefit of the two institutions.

He again lauded the Municipal Chief Executive for the unflinching support he has rendered the Obuasi office and called for continuous support and cooperation from the Assembly.

Hon Elijah Adansi-Bonah on the other hand thanked the new District Manager for taking time off his busy schedule to visit the Assembly.

He said the gesture was a sign of a healthy relationship that exist between the Forestry Commission and the Assembly.

” The two institutions have enjoyed healthy relationship over the years, and I believe this visit will further strengthen and enhance the relationship between us”

The Municipal Coordinating Director Stephen Tecku on his part said the Assembly considers the Forestry Commission as a key stakeholder and assured them of the Assembly’s maximum cooperation in the discharge of their duties.
