GOG/World Bank Mission visit Obuasi Municipal

A team from the Ministry of Local Government Decentralisation and Rural Development and the World Bank on Thursday,  25th August,  2022 visited the Obuasi Municipality to appraise themselves of the projects under the Ghana Secondary Cities Support programme of which, Obuasi Municipal is a beneficiary.

 

As part of the visit, the team toured the project sites which included the 5km ‘Mactina to Court junction’ as well as storm drains at ‘Shaft fm’,  Mensakrom and Bogobiri.

 

In a brief meeting after the tour, the Municipal Planning officer Joseph Asibi Bashir, in a power point presentation, delivered a progress report on the projects and the impact on the Socio-economic development of Obuasi Municipal.

The team was satisfied with the report and also seized the opportunity to offer suggestions to management of the Assembly and contractors of the projects.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Honorable Elijah Adansi-Bonah, Assembly Members and some Heads of Department were present at the tour and the meeting.
