The Municipal Chief Executive for Obuasi, Honourable Elijah Adansi Bonah on Thursday, 22nd April 2021 inaugurated a 12-member Internally Generated Fund technical team.
This was in fulfilment of directive from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development to all MMDAs to form an IGF Technical team for the purpose of improving Assemblies local revenue generation.
Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance have developed a Revenue Guide 2019. This will guide the MMDAs to discover new approaches to mobilize revenue. The MCE after reading the roles of the each member on the committee admonished them to work diligently to ensure the Assembly mobilisers enough revenue to the people of Obuasi.
