The Obuasi Municipal Assembly led by the MCE Honorable Elijah Adansi-Bonah yesterday, 23rd April, 2024 presented 600 mono desks to Obuasi Senior High Technical School.
The presentation which was based on request from the school is to help bridge the furniture gap in the school.
The desks were received by Mr. Ernest Wiafe, the Head master on behalf of the school.
Again, the MCE presented 300 desks to the Obuasi Municipal Education Directorate for onward distribution to schools in the Municipality.
They were also received by Mr. George Alfred Koomson, the Education Director.
Meanwhile, Hon. Adansi- Bonah has assured the people of Obuasi that the Assembly will soon start the construction of classroom block at New Biakoyeden a fast-growing area in Obuasi with no school.
Again, the Assembly will also begin renovation works on the Awurade Basa school. The school has been in deplorable state for a long time prompting the Assembly to fast-track efforts to reconstruct it.
